Criação de aplicações com IA para o ensino de inglês:percepções e desafios na formação inicial docente

Resumo

A dimensão de “criar” com inteligência artificial (IA), proposta pela UNESCO como nível avançado de alfabetização em IA, ainda é pouco explorada no âmbito da formação inicial docente (FID), especialmente na área do ensino de inglês como língua estrangeira (ILE). Nesse contexto, o presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar as percepções de futuros professores de inglês sobre as possibilidades pedagógicas e as dificuldades associadas à criação de aplicações educativas com IA generativa (IAGen) usando Gemini 3.0. Participaram 51 estudantes de Pedagogia em Inglês pertencentes a três universidades públicas chilenas. A pesquisa adotou uma abordagem qualitativa mediante a aplicação de um formulário on-line, e os dados foram analisados por meio de uma análise de conteúdo indutiva baseada no modelo de Krippendorff, com assistência de dois modelos de linguagem de grande escala e supervisão humana. Os resultados foram organizados em cinco categorias: potencial didático da IA para a aprendizagem do inglês, criação de aplicações educativas, novo papel do futuro professor, novas competências e desafios no uso da IA. No entanto, um achado importante foi a identificação de lacunas formativas concretas: a formulação de prompts emergiu como uma competência didática, não técnica, e a maior dificuldade residiu em traduzir intenções pedagógicas em instruções claras. A experiência também transformou a autopercepção dos futuros professores, que passaram a se reconhecer como criadores de tecnologia educativa. Conclui-se que a formação inicial docente deve deslocar o foco da ferramenta para o problema pedagógico, preparando os professores como designers de sequências de aprendizagem que criam, adaptam e avaliam criticamente recursos com IA.
