This review describes the book "Youth, Gender Identity, and Power on Digital Platforms," which encompasses the EDIGA project. This research analyzes the perspectives of adolescents in Spain, Mexico, and Uruguay, how they identify with their gender, and the repercussions this entails on social networks like Instagram, where influencer culture significantly impacts adolescents. Aesthetics on social media play an important role in their lives; privacy, family influence, and context are crucial in the development of their experiences , as well as in the practices they engage in through various accounts on Instagram. These platforms represent complex spaces where adolescents negotiate their identity, exposed to social surveillance and aesthetic pressure shaped by stereotypes and masculine biases.
